Community Champion: Patty Cicogni’s Impact with the American Red Cross – Technologist

At Inszone Insurance Services, we hold firm to the belief that genuine success encompasses not only professional achievements but also the positive impact we foster within our communities. Patty Cicogni, a training Specialist at our Rancho Cordova, CA office, whose steadfast dedication to community engagement and volunteerism embodies this core value. With over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, Patty’s commitment to serving others extends far beyond the boundaries of her workplace.

Patty’s journey with Inszone began in 2012, armed with no prior industry experience. Starting as an account manager assistant, Patty diligently ascended the company ranks, acquiring her insurance license and carving a path to her current role. Recognized for her tireless efforts, Patty earned the esteemed title of “Employee of the Year” in 2016, a testament to her unwavering work ethic. However, Patty’s dedication transcends mere professional accolades. Patty shared her experience with us about her time volunteering at the American Red Cross’s National Sound the Alarm event, where she assumed the role of team lead and educator. Alongside her team, Patty distributed free smoke alarms to a senior mobile home park in Rancho Cordova, ensuring homes are properly equipped with vital early detection systems to aid in swift evacuation during emergencies. The American Red Cross, renowned for its humanitarian efforts in emergency assistance, disaster relief, and preparedness education, provided the platform for Patty’s impactful contributions.

“I have been volunteering for the Red Cross for almost 13 years, mainly as part of the Disaster Action Team or DAT. I have seen firsthand the devastation from home fires, sometimes resulting in the loss of lives. Having working smoke alarms gives the residents a better chance of survival.”

Patty’s involvement with the American Red Cross underscores the meaningful outcomes achievable through our company-wide commitment to giving back. The American Redcross, responds to an emergency every 8 minutes. From small house fires to multi – state natural disasters, The American Red Cross goes wherever needed, so people can have clean water, safe shelter, and hot meals when they need them the most. 95% of their disaster relief workers are volunteers.

Patty’s pivotal moment for this event was the fact that she inspired Ryan Zhang, Jonathan Giusto and Monica Gonzales from the Rancho Cordova office to join her in this event.

Patty’s dedication also extends beyond the Sound the Alarm event. Outside of the National Sound the Alarm event, Patty also is a volunteer within the Sierra Delta Chapter for the American Red Cross. She has participated in their operations since 2011. Patty considers aiding clients in their turbulent times, humbling and rewarding.
