Chelsea Crawford Attended 2024 Maryland Justice Convention – Technologist

Chelsea Crawford, partner at Brown, Goldstein & Levy attended the 2024 Maryland Association for Justice Convention on Friday, May 10. Hosted in Owings Mills, Maryland, the day-long event brought together the region’s top plaintiffs lawyers for a day of networking, attending informative sessions, and hearing from distinguished speakers in the field. The theme of this year’s Convention was “From Chaos to Clarity.”

The Convention included a welcome reception, followed by four in-person sessions and a bonus video session. The day’s first session covered the art of case framing, applying techniques to real-world case studies to examine strategies for capturing juror attention and building a persuasive narrative. The next session discussed a five-step process for effectively framing “bad” facts in trial.

Attendees also had the opportunity to dive into the details of a specific complex personal injury case that first resulted in a retrial before a final verdict awarded the plaintiffs $1.5 million. The final session discussed the importance of storytelling in trial, allowing attendees to hone their art of trial advocacy and jury engagement.

The conference was a great opportunity for Chelsea to connect with other leading attorneys from across the region while continuing to fine tune her litigation skills. Chelsea, a former journalist, draws on her reporting skills to find the key elements of each client’s story to effectively engage and maintain juror attention in the pursuit of justice for her clients.
